New Wall-e and Eve Coloring Page

Well, Wall-e is out and I went to see it on the very first day.

It blew me away. Probably best Pixar cartoon ever. I still can’t believe the amount of character and emotion instilled into a box. The people at Pixar are unquestionably geniuses. Not to mention the story line itself. Gets one thinking...

I also finally know what the story behind my coloring pages.

Which is why I’m putting this new Wall-e coloring page up. This was probably the most touching scene in the movie.

PS: If you haven’t seen the movie, what are you waiting for? Go see it now!

Wall-e and the Gang Coloring Page and Some Off-Topic

Ok, of course there is going to be a coloring page, but first let’s talk…

You will no doubt notice that I’ve added a whole bunch of book links on a side. I thought I’ll make your Wall-e hunting easier for you :)

But seriously, though it is true that there are plenty of wonderful (and totally free!) coloring pages on this site, sometimes a child deserves a real book. Coloring book, sticker book, story book...

Every time my son develops a fascination with a character, I use it as a learning opportunity. I can’t even begin to express my gratitude to the Pixar Cars movie (the previous hit with kids, in case you somehow missed it…) for all the wonderful merchandise they’ve had. Even though my house has been plastered for the past year with McQueen stickers, coloring books, puzzles and no less then ten actual McQueens (and I’m not even counting the other characters) – these books and gadgets helped my son to learn colors, count wheels, understand basic mechanics (McQueen’s tire broke – why?), understand speed, develop coordination, develop cutting skills, learn puzzle solving (he patiently tried the puzzle over and over until he got the concept, and he is only three…) and generally learn a bit more about the world.

Children learn by playing. What looks like a repetitive obsession to a parent, is a patient learning process to a child. As the kid watches his favorite show over and over, and colors in same characters over and over, he understands new nuances, and notices new details. He figures out the rules. Each time he asks the same question, he’s checking how constant the world is and how well he understood it.

Right now I am fully prepping for Wall-e. Because I know what to expect. Wall-e looks a bit like an excavator and a tractor, and my son is obsessed with those.

But it also means that I can’t wait for a Wall-e puzzle. Cause I won’t have to convince him to sit down and develop his logical skills – he’ll do it on his own accord. And I’ll get him more Wall-e books, cause I won’t have to convince him to pay attention when I’m reading. And if his obsession lasts all the way till his next birthday (or Christmas) I’ll have a full-blown Wall-e party setup, with plates, napkins and the whole hoopla… Cause it will make him happy.

Think about it, for just a few bucks (and most items are cheaper than a lunch or a morning bagel/coffee combo) you can have your kid feel happy and rewarded.

So by all means, print out as many pages from here as you want. Make as many copies as your heart desires.

But do get a real sticker book now and then.

(Isn't it cute?)

Or a real Wall-e toy. Or a fun projector book . Or, heck, a REAL COLORING BOOK,

which will cost you between $1 and $4. Hardly breaking the bank... (And this is a really good one, about the space chase.)

Childhood is precious. And it goes by way too fast… Let kids have little treats now and then. They deserve them :)

Sigh…

And now, for those who patiently read the above masterpiece, (and for those who didn’t, but what can I do?), here is a great coloring page of Wall-e and the gang.

(Note: Don't forget to adjust print properties to "landscape" for this one.)

Here are their “names”, from left to right:

VAQ-M, PR-T, BRL-A, WALL-E, L-T, EVE, HAN-S, M-O… Pretty creative, eh?

By the way, I have finally found out what WALL-E stands for:

W – Waste
A – Allocation
L – Load
L – Lifter
E – Earth-class

While EVE is:

E – Extraterrestrial
V – Vegetation
E – Evaluator

I have also figured out what most of these guys do, based on their names, pics, and trailer number three, that’s floating around the net… Except for HAN-S. No idea what’s he up to…

Guess I’ll have to wait for the movie to find out…

Or read a book ;)

PS: Enjoy the stage of your child's development when all you need to get him is coloring books. Cause soon he'll be asking for cars, motorcycles, computers and power tools. Drill bits, anyone?

Wall-e and Eve Blast Off to Space Coloring Page

Here is a long awaited new Wall-e coloring page!

That didn’t take a long introduction, eh? :) What can I say… I love children’s coloring pages. Sometimes that love shuts down my verbal (and writing) abilities.

But... Cool bubbles! You go Wall-e… Blast off to space!

And while on the subject of blasting, you should definitly check out the official coloring book called “Blast Off” . It has many great pics, would make a terrific gift for the kids, and is incredibly cheap (under $4). Which is next to free in my books… So, definitely worth a look.

Of course, there are tons of pics here by now… But sometimes it’s nice to have a “real” book, right? For those special occasions… (Or as rewards for extra good behaviour...)

Great New Wall-e And Friends Kids Coloring Pages!

Ok, today I’ve got a special treat for you. Three really good (and printable, and free :) ) Wall-e coloring pages. You know the drill by now – download the picture, then print it. Or print pictures directly by clicking on the right mouse button – but that doesn’t seem to work for everyone, so figure out the method that works for you.

I love to elaborate on the pictures that I post, so… ahem… here is a story (by me) about each. The story is by me, and is not to be overly relied on cause I haven’t seen the movie yet! Still more than a week to go! I can’t wait!

This printable introduces a whole new character:

From what I’ve been able to ascertain, this little robot is called M-O, and he’s a cleaning bot. In fact, M-O is an obsessive cleaning and sanitation guy who cleans anything that’s dirty, and looks like here he’s about to start scrubbing Wall-e. I mean, this cleanliness expert encounters Wall-e who’s been alone with junk for hundreds of years… Imagine the shock. Poor little guy… Reminds me of coming home after leaving the men to take care of the household for a while. Maybe that’s why this Wall-e coloring page has such a cozy place in my heart. (And so many copies in the printer. Gotta tell the whole story to kids. Great teaching (and preaching) opportunity! Children's coloring pages rule!

PS: I presume the toy M-O has all the cleaning capabilities? Yes? Cause I gotta get me one of those!

This coloring page brings Wall-e and Eve together again:

I have to admit, this coloring page confuses me. Is Wall-e stuck? Or trying to impress Eve? Hmm… my imagination is running way ahead of me. I actually wasn’t sure what to tell my kid, when he asked “What’s Wall-e doing”? But it looks like fun. I told him: well, look he’s playing, and Eve is laughing (she can laugh?). I saw this picture on one of the movie posters, and I believe he’s rolling in a hula-hoop. (Ah… brings a lot of memories, but nothing this exuberant. Wall-e is obviously a much better hula-hooper than I ever was :) )

And here is the last Wall-e printable for today:

It has a spaceship on a side! (I assume that’s what it is…) Yeh! So much to draw and color. Space, stars, earth, spaceship. This is where those metallic crayons would be really handy.

And I think that’s it for the day. Three free printable Wall-e coloring pages. Not bad. Not bad at all…

Have fun!

Wall-e Printable Maze

Though a printable maze is not a coloring page, strictly speaking, but it is nevertheless a very popular activity with kids. Therefore, I decided that it fits perfectly well on this blog.

So, help Wall-E get to Eve!

Download the picture, and then print it. Kids love mazes, and it is a great learning tool. Mazes develop logic, coordination, line drawing skills… And they are just pure fun! I still love doing mazes, and I’ve long since left the kid realm :) Admittedly, I tend to go for trickier ones… But hey, we all started somewhere, right?

Of course, if you are here looking for the Wall-e coloring pages, just check out the archives. The collection is growing pretty steadily, and some pics are absolutely adorable. With this Wall-e as my absolute favorite.

And of course, more pages are coming soon! Very possibly tomorrow… Maybe even sooner. So keep checking :)

PS: How about another maze? Wall-e chasing his vacuum? A free printable maze, just for you!

Have fun!

The Longing Wall-e Coloring Page

If adorability could be rated, these following Wall-e coloring pages would definitely score 15 out of 10. I mean, just look at those eyes! And that longing! If this doesn’t prove that robots can feel, nothing else will :)

Once upon a time I considered taking up animation and art. But I could never quite grasp how a simple drawing of a box or a hand was supposed to have "expression" or "movement" or all the other words that I just couldn't correlate to a static immobile images. I mean, a box is a box, right? A square is a square...

Obviously the guys at Pixar got the point much better than I did. They manage to put feelings into a being with no mouth, or nose, or ears... I mean, what is Wall-e but a box with eyes? And yet... How do they do it?

Anyways, back to the coloring page. This time the picture is available in two versions – with highlighted features and regular.

Personally I love the highlighted version… But who am I to stop others from highlighting on their own? After all, that’s the fun in coloring, eh? :)

So, download, print, and have fun :)

New Wall-E Coloring Page: Carrying a Box… Or So It Seams :)

First of all, for those of you who joined me from the beginning, you probably noticed that some pictures went from shabby to pretty slick. It’s not a fluke. I am committed to bringing the best and most printable coloring pages I can get. So the pages are naturally getting better :) And I am updating the older ones as I find suitable replacements…

OK, glad we straightened that out :)

And if you are not sure how to print these, it’s fairly simple -- click on the picture, then right click (when picture opens in new page), download picture to your computer, and print from there... I'm working on developing a way to print straight out from the browzer -- I'll keep you posted! (Right clicking on picture, and then selecting "Print Picture..." also seems to work).

Now for the actual picture... TA DA!

For this specific page, I love that Wall-e is carrying a simple box. Cause that box could be anything! (I think it’s a pile of junk on the posters that float around the web...). But imagine what a kid can turn it into! Wall-e got mail! Wall e got present! Wall-e fixing a wall! Wall-e building a house! (The junk option is also available… hehe…)

Imagination rules!

Wall-E's Friend, Eve -- High Quality Coloring Page!

Here is a high quality picture of Eve!

Now this picture actually looks smooth and sleek like the object of Wall-e’s affections :).

To have fun coloring this page, suggest to the child drawing dark sky and stars in the background. Maybe galaxies, and comets... The dark colors will offset Eve (who's actually metallic-white).

You could also use silver crayons. Or glitter crayons. Or even metallic crayons (Crayola makes those – they work best if you print the picture on colored paper).

Tip: glitter crayons are also great for shiny stars :)

Have fun!

PS: You could always import the picture into Word document and add some stars or shapes to the page before printing for the child. There are stars in the generic "Drawing" toolbar of Word. Just sprinkle them around... Maybe even ask the child to suggest how big and wher he/she wants them!

Wall E and Eve Coloring Pages

UPDATED:
I'm leaving the older sketchier coloring picture for historical purposes. And because I like the flowing naturalness of it... But look at this new one!

So perfect! And so touching! I'm amazed at how much emotion Wall-e's eyes convey, even in the black and white version!

Original Post:

Wall-e and Eve coloring page is now available!

After being alone for such a long time (hundreds of years!) Wall-e meets a slick robot named Eve, and falls head over heels in love with her.

Eve has no feelings. She’s just a probe robot on a mission… Cold and cynical. And Wall-e is willing to chase her all around the galaxy.

Will Wall-e melt her heart? Will love triumph?

Andrew Stanton admitted that the design of Eve was influenced by Apple. In his words: “Wall-E is a tractor and she's a Mercedes. So in the world of technology, what's the sleekest, most seamless, where the moving parts are hidden…” Johnny Ive, who does the design for Apple liked Eve a lot too!

New Wall E Coloring Page

And here is another wonderful Wall-E printable coloring page, just for you! Let the kids color away!

By the way, it is perfectly normal for kids to try colors that are different from official version. If your child’s favourite color (of the day!) is green – let Wall e be green! The whole reason for coloring is to stimulate coordination and imagination. Younger kids like to experiment with colors.

You can even play a game with the child. Ask him (or her) if this was their toy, what would they want it to look like? Or, what color mood is Wall-E in the picture? And some kids find it amusing to draw patterns… Though in general, the older the kids, the more they strive for realism…

Coloring is all about being a magician. Letting a few simple lines on the page take over and become a vivid picture. I’m sure that’s how the geniuses at Pixar and Disney got started in the first place!

Wall-E: Make Your Own Coloring Pages!

There are many sites online that have coloring pages. Especially for popular cartoons, such as Wall-E. These pages are generally free, and more often then not you don’t even need to download them – load the picture up and print.

If your child likes to have multiple pictures on a page (while online pages may only have one or two characters), download a few pictures and then use software such as Adobe to arrange images on the page. But you don’t need to spend money – there are tons of easy image editing software available for free – my favorite is Serif PhotoPlus. This will allow you to tweak the images to your heart’s content!

For the really easy way, I often layout the downloaded printable images in a Word file, and then print them up.

If you are traveling, print a number of different pages, and then staple them together. Kid’s love personalized books. Or you can put the pages in a binder or folder. But be sure to put a picture of Wall-e on the front! That will be the “Wall-e folder” that the kids can decorate with stickers, crayons, markers etc…

And here is a friendly Wall-e, ready for print, for your and your kid’s enjoyment!

Wall-E Welcome and Privacy Policy

An exciting new cartoon from the award winning Disney-Pixar combination is about to hit the theaters. Wall-E.

“What if mankind had to leave Earth, and somebody forgot to turn the last robot off? WALL•E, a robot, spends every day doing what he was made for. But soon, he will discover what he was meant for. From Academy Award®-winning writer-director, Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo), Disney•Pixar’s WALL•E is the story of one robot's comic adventures as he chases his dream across the galaxy.”

The absolutely endearing trailer scattered throughout the web is featuring such a charming robot that one can easily predict a new childhood hero.

Which means the kids will want toys and coloring pages!

Can’t help but get excited.

And prepared :-)
